I was surprised to find that in order to volunteer in my child’s classroom, I had to allow my school to do a background check on me. Last year this was not in place, and I do not remember seeing any news on this subject. Can you tell me if this is a district policy, or a school policy? Also, did D11 weigh the benefits of child safety with the drawbacks of not welcoming parent volunteers 'with open arms', and were any other options looked at to keep our kids safe? Thank you for you time.

I realized that half the times I logged in and logged my volunteer hours online, I forgot to select 'Freedom' instead of 'D-11 Central Office'. Will this matter? I did the work that was logged, but all of it was for Freedom, not the D-11 office. Is there a way to switch it?
